The Department of commerce with computer application started functioning at WIRAS, in June 2010. Commerce has got very prominent role in the society. The vision of Department of Commerce is to develop qualified Professionals with high moral values endowed with required knowledge and skills for Banking and Financial sector . Our vision is to be one of the internationally recognised institutes imparting education, training and research to develop a pool of credible and competent Professionals for the Banking and Financial sector which positions India as one of the dominant financial hubs of the world.

We educate students to become excellent and ethical economists, entrepreneurs and business managers who are socially responsible and globally-oriented.

Various programmes and activities are encouraged for all round development of the students so that they are enriched with greater values of life and develop service–mindedness. Technology plays an important part in education today and hence each department is provided with a LCD projector, and classroom teaching utilizes the multimedia and digital technology. Students are motivated to use these in the academic presentations.
